The PC GAMESS version of GAMESS is maintained by Alex Granovsky. Below are instructions telling how to download a GAMESS executable for one of the operating systems Windows, NT, OS/2, Linux, or DOS.
You may obtain PC GAMESS from
http://www.scl.ameslab.gov/GAMESS/pcgamess.html
This explains how to download the one (1) binary that most closely matches your PC, along with directions and information on how to use the program.
You will need to use a \\\"secret password\\\" when you unzip the binary files, namely:
4275207
Once you have unpacked the distribution archive you will find instructions for contacting Alex Granovsky to obtain a second password to activate the actual PCGAMESS executable. You must send email to Alex A. Granovsky (address:
gran@classic.chem.msu.su) to get the password to be used to extract the files from this second archive. Note, the password is NOT the same which was used by you to unpack the zip archive downloaded from the GAMESS web site!
In your email, please specify your name, position and affiliation, the number of copies of the PC GAMESS you plan to use, and the PC GAMESS executables type: OS version, CPU type, sequential/parallel. Please specify the MPI type for parallel versions as well. You\\\'ll get the password free of
charge within several days after sending us your request.
The ISU group cannot provide support for PC GAMESS. PC GAMESS support can only be obtained from Alex Granovsky at
gran@classic.chem.msu.su
Enjoy the program!
