Description
The DigiMicro Lab5.0 from dnt combines the functionality of a traditional laboratory microscope with the advantages of newer USB digital microscope technology. Magnification ranges between 20x and 500x in intervals and resolution can be selected from 12MP, 8MP (interpolated) or 5MP and 3MP (optical), depending on quality required and storage space remaining.
Images and videos are stored on a MicroSD card up to 32GB (not included but listed under ‘Accessories’) in .bmp .jpg and .avi formats. Videos have a max frame rate of 32 fps. A rechargeable 3.7V lithium ion battery (800mAh, included) provides 2 hrs of standalone operation on one charge. An AC/DC mains adapter is also included to charge the battery while inside the microscope unit.
A 3.5 inch TFT colour monitor shows live images or stored images and videos that are called up using the microscope’s keypad. A slideshow of captured images can also be played with custom intervals between slides. Give live demonstrations via a television or projector using the DigiMicro Lab5.0’s AV output and minijack to phono cable provided, an extension cable for larger rooms is available as an accessory under the ‘Accessories’ tab.
As with all dnt’s USB digital microscopes, the DigiMicro Lab5.0 comes with useful software that can be used to measure length, area, angle and radius of objects under magnification with an accuracy of 1 micrometre (1µm = 1/1000mm). These measurements can be inset along with any annotations into the final stored image. This functionality makes the DigiMicro Lab5.0 ideal for quality control purposes.
